STar Farm Arabians is located in beautiful Canby, Oregon. There owner/breeder/manager Shelly Taranoff breeds and raises beautiful CMK Arabians. Over the years, she's trained her horses for a number of different disciplines. Her horses have engaged in Showing (both Hunt and Western), Competative Trail, and Endurance. In 1999, her Arabians entered a new venue through the Society for Creative Anachronism engaging in events such as the ring tilt and quintain. To picture this new venue, envision people dressed in period (Medieval, Elizabethan, Renaissance, etc.) garb, camping out for an afternoon or weekend, and then add horses. After all, what bold knight would dare be seen in public without his trusty steed! Her extremely tolerant and willing Arabs have proven time and again that they are ready to give these new games a try. Shelly strives to provide her quality animals at reasonable prices, and gladly gives 4-H discounts. Shelly works closely with her partner Kathleen Jennings at Kinda Small Farm, and the two often trade stallions to maintain the genetic health of both farms.
